It's not always easy to fit romance into a hectic schedule. You've got a full-time job, kids to feed and a house to keep clean. While not easy, it is possible to fit romantic moments into your life. Small gestures work wonders at garnering you and your partner the attention you both deserve.
Romantic Words
Write a short, romantic love note and place it in a surprising place for your significant other to find. Other variations of this idea include penning poetry, drawing a picture or creating a separate scrapbook page for your significant other. I can't draw worth anything but I will say that putting together a simple scrapbook of movie tickets and romantic sayings works wonders on my husband. Your partner will appreciate the effort you put into create something special, even if you only spent a few minutes on the project. Look up short poems on the internet, if you're unsure of what to write down. You don't have to use an original. The time it took for you to put pen to paper is what matters most.
Sensual Lunch Date
I don't know about you but I know by the time dinner rolls around I am usually exhausted and the last thing I care about is romance. Even though, a romantic dinner sounds wonderful in some other, alternate universe. One way that I have found to spend quality time together with my husband involves going out for lunch. Not only do you enjoy each other's company without falling victim to just wanting to go to bed, but you save money as well.
Favorite Snack at Bedtime
Take a trip to the store and pick up a delicious dessert to enjoy before bed with your significant other, without worrying about kids claiming your share. This allows you to spend quality time together without others around where you can indulge without feeling guilty about completing a to do list or worrying about which of your children still needs a bath.
