Enjoy this warm fall weather and get a romantic night out. My husband and I have two children that are 3 years and 1 year old and getting time to be alone isn’t always practical. The weather has been so nice out that when I got home from work, I cleaned up the patio furniture outside of our bedroom and set it up with a couple of plates and candles. I had a purchased an ice cream pie the evening before and forgot about it until I decided to stage this romantic setting.
After the kids went to bed my husband was sitting on the couch with the laptop, and I asked him to come sit with me. With the beautiful open night sky, candle light and our ice cream pie we sat outside for an hour under a blanket. It was nice to get away from the television, cell phones and the computer, and it was very sweet and romantic. Not to mention we didn’t have any kids fighting over pie!
Setting up a romantic scene like this is so easy to do, especially since the weather is perfect for some blanket snuggling under the sky. You can easily create this same scene on a front porch, in the back of a tailgate, at a local park, or even in your bedroom by lighting the candles and opening the windows.
It can be hard to find time to be romantic with your spouse when the two of you work and have kids, but just an hour a week can make a huge difference, and improve your relationship.
