Its true. Romance may not come easy for some. Intimacy? Even more far-reaching. Are men and women really so different? Perhaps.... but, what are some of the things we have in common? I think it is safe to say, that most of us are rather ambitious. We are looking to define ourselves and make ourselves stand out in terms of our successes and relative stability in a world of chaos. In all of that ambition, time becomes very scarce, precious.... and lost, in terms of intimate relationships. While the annual income continues to climb, personal relations fall... reduced to text messages and sporadic drink dates, graced by the occasional dinner party or one night stand but, where is romance? Intimacy? And if you have one, do you have the other?

A quick search on the internet may reveal that romance equates to red wine and chocolates.... dig a little further... you might congratulate yourself with a few verses of cheap poetry or silk lingerie.... why does this feel so empty already? What does your soul tell you? That deeper part of yourself that is the force behind all you do? The part of yourself that yearns for something real, something authentic, whole yet, imperfect.
